Business Line reported that TVS Motor Company's total sales in November dropped marginally to1,71,873 units from1,75,535 units in the same period last year.
The company's 2 wheeler sales dropped 3.5% to 166,783 units. Domestic sales saw a marginal decline at 150,056 units.
Motorcycle sales grew 5% to 65,494 units. Scooter sales decreased 15% to 37,470 units.
The company in a statement said that domestic retail sales during the festive period rose 19% to 185,000 2 wheelers. This has resulted in significant reduction of stocks at the dealer level.
The company's total exports for November 2012 went down 17% to 20,080 units. Two wheeler exports dropped 25% to 16,727 units.
