Vice President of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products Liu Chun was invited to Cuba’s embassy to China and met with Cuba’s Commercial Counselor in China Eng. Sofia Ancheta on June 18, 2015.
Liu firstly thanked the ambassador for her visit to Chunming Boutique held by the CCCME in February and spoke highly of the remarks she made at the meeting. Liu said the CCCME and Cuba embassy have maintained cooperation for long and he hoped that the two sides would conduct closer cooperation in areas of major project communication, trade and economic exchanges, business activity and product exhibition in the future.
Counselor Sofia welcomed vice President Liu’s visit and she said there was wide prospect of cooperation between Cuba embassy and CCCME. She hoped that the CCCME could provide information service for Cuba’s enterprises in China, introduce eligible Chinese enterprises to invest in Cuba and organize its members to attend the investment promotion activities in Cuba. Sofia stressed that attracting FDI is the key work of Cuban government, the Cuban government has formulated preferential investment policies and planned to establish economic special zones referring to Chinese model. She hoped that the CCCME could publicize the investment advantages of Cuba through various channels.
Officials from the department of international liaison of the CCCME also attended the meeting.
