Mr Ulrich Grethe (48, graduate of engineering) has been appointed as member of the Executive Board of Salzgitter Stahl GmbH and chairman of the Management Board of Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH as of January 1, 2010.
He is the successor of Mr Johannes Nonn who has switched to the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG. Mr Grethe is responsible for the technology activities. Michael Kieckbusch (48, graduate of economics) has been appointed deputy chairman of the Management Board of Salzgitter Flachstahl effective as from the same date. Mr. Kieckbusch is responsible for the personnel area.
Dr Sebastian Bross (40) will become active as the new managing director of the sales and logistics department of Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH as of January 1st 2010. Dr Bross studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, gaining his doctorate in 2002. He started his career in the Salzgitter Group as a production engineer in the quality control department at Salzgitter Flachstahl.
